Marketing campaign for HeldCare Demoday


Every year HeldCare supports eight social entrepreneurs through an intensive development period. This edition of HeldCare was focused on vulnerable elderly. The participants of HeldCare have created innovative products and services for the health care sector to make an meaningful impact for vulnerable elderly in the Netherlands. Towards the festive final event, which is called HeldCare Demoday, HeldCare needed support with their marketing activities. We were asked to develop a marketing strategy for HeldCare Demoday, to generate online attention and support the social media team during Demoday.

Every year HeldCare supports eight social entrepreneurs through an intensive development period. This edition of HeldCare was focused on vulnerable elderly. The participants of HeldCare have created innovative products and services for the health care sector to make an meaningful impact for vulnerable elderly in the Netherlands. Towards the festive final event, which is called HeldCare Demoday, HeldCare needed support with their marketing activities. We were asked to develop a marketing strategy for HeldCare Demoday, to generate online attention and support the social media team during Demoday.

We have researched the different target groups before the start of the marketing campaign. We developed specific messages that connected with the needs of the different profile groups. In this way we could appeal to every target groups in an different way so we attracted the right people for the event.

The living room


In collaboration with the team of HeldCare we were able to design a social media booth for HeldCare Demoday. We called this corner the ‘Living room of HeldCare’. The living room of HeldCare was a place where visitors could think and talk about the way they like to get older. The visitors could complete the sentence: ‘When I am old, I am dreaming of..’. The living room setting created a nice vibe during the event.

Media attention


Through the great teamwork with HeldCare we were able to generate more media attention than the last edition of HeldCare Demoday. Different articles were written in Dutch national news medium platforms, for instance Follow The MoneyAlso television and radio programs talked about the event.

Niels Lap has helped to achieve the communication goals of HeldCare Demoday. In a short period of time he drew attention to the right audience, developed good contacts with media & press and came up with creative ideas (such as the Living room of HeldCare). Besides that, it was nice to work with him and he always pursued the goals until we achieved them.
